"Grade 4 students all slept last night! (Jo doesn’t mention whether any adults slept…hmmm) The kids have had a “lovely morning playing on the beach”…at a safe distance from the water’s edge at the top of the beach! They are now at breakfast and will visit Kariba Dam this morning."
"G4 students had a lovely trip to the dam wall, learning more about hydropower and the history of the dam. Very hot, though, so now back at the lodge, cooling off with a quiet journaling session and then jumping into the pool. We’ll have lunch soon and then go and visit the local school this afternoon.”
"We’ve had a busy and satisfying afternoon. Loads of fun at the school, dancing and doing art, then back to the lodge for a quick cooling swim before heading out on our sunset boat trip and more learning about the lake and dam. Dinner under the stars tonight in the slightly cooler air, thank goodness. Looking forward to some star gazing later. Kids still running around…don’t know where they get their energy from! Hopefully it means they’ll sleep well tonight!"
Our G4 campers have just left Siavanga, so they should arrive here sometime between 14:30 and 15:00. I will email if they are delayed for any reason.
